In 2023, Marty retired from shopkeeper life and sold his growing business, Uncle Marty’s Shipping Office, to his then-manager and dear friend, Clark, and Clark’s fiancé, Codey Noel. At that time, Marty also stepped down from his positions as Director and Co-Founder of the Collegetown Small Business Alliance and Director of Communication and Advisor to the Board of the non-profit Association of Mail & Business Centers (AMBC), for which he was also a previous board chair.

It’s now Marty’s privilege to lean into his love of adventure with the ability to work remotely from anywhere his travels take him. Semi-retirement allows him to spend more time with family and focus on writing and coaching projects through his own platforms as well as with AYM High Consultants. Marty continues to serve as Editor and Producer of MBC Today, the MBC industry’s leading publication wherein his advice column, Ask Uncle Marty™, is a favorite among readers; he’s also working diligently with a close friend and colleague on an exciting motivational podcast that will launch in 2024 (stay tuned!)
