We've been asked about our business policy regarding masks after New York State and Tompkins County adopt CDC guidance on Wednesday, May 19th.
After speaking with guests, clients, staff, and advisors, as well as reviewing the advice posted on the Tompkins County Health Department's site, we've decided that we will continue to wear masks in our business for a little while longer until we are comfortable removing them around our guests and clients.
We will keep our posted request for our guests to also wear masks when inside our small business posted on our door for a while longer just to be safe, and trust our guests to respect each other while here.
Above all, we want everyone to feel comfortable and stay safe when visiting Uncle Marty's. Our entire staff is fully vaccinated, and we continue to follow other safety protocols. We continue to be a happy, healthy team with happy and healthy guests ... and aim to keep it that way.

Tompkins County Updates Related to Reopening and Mask Guidance
Effective May 19, New York State and Tompkins County will adopt CDC guidance stating that fully vaccinated individuals no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in most settings. Consistent with the CDC guidance, Pre-K to 12 schools, public transit, homeless shelters, correctional facilities, nursing homes, and healthcare settings will continue to follow State's existing COVID-19 health guidelines including distancing and mask wearing until more New Yorkers are fully vaccinated.
Private businesses may still require masks for everyone in their establishments, consistent with the CDC guidance. Unvaccinated people should still wear masks in all settings while around others.
