Notary Public

Some members of our team are commissioned in New York State as notaries public, and we do our best to have a notary present for walk-in service at our store as often as we can.

If you have something more complex than a quick signature or two, we advise seeking a notary provider that is able to make appointments for dedicated time. Often, the Tompkins County Clerk is able to help in this regard. Otherwise, we will do our best to work with you when we’re able.

Please note that if your document requires a witness or witnesses to be present at the time of the notarization, you must provide them yourself; our staff cannot be witnesses, nor will we allow you to solicit our guests, neighbors, or passers-by on the street to be witnesses.

Please also note that New York State notaries public are not permitted to notarize I-9 forms, and if that’s what you’re seeking you’ll need to go back to the employer that requested the form and have them designate an agent to verify your identification documents instead of a notary, per New York State notary code.

Please call ahead to ensure a notary will be on duty when you plan to come in. Our main notary usually is available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and another notary is sometimes available at some other times we’re open. A quick call (607-275-3711) before you head in will help so you don’t miss one of our notaries when you come by.
